NEW ALBUM IS FINISHED!!

DARK HOUR or COLD EMOTION
I'm still debating on the name of the album but it is finished and ready for the next stage. Just to give you a little insight to this album it goes like this. I took a trip to Russia where I met Galina Bosaya randomly on the street. I was looking for a guitar shop and her and her band were walking with guitars. That led to exchanging Facebook contact info. Then a few months later I returned to Moscow for a gig where she stopped by. Then I returned to America for a few more months during that time I sent her a song I wrote. We decided that on my next trip to Russia we would perform it together at a show which we did. This led to talking about recording some songs together. On the next trip to Moscow we co-wrote Cold Emotion and did a rough recording of the song. From there we decided to record an album together in America. I returned to America for a few months where I made another amazing connection. While attending a Shooter Jennings show I was introduced to Scotty Schultz who is Shooters drummer. We chatted for a while and exchanged info then went about our ways. I headed back to Peru and he headed for the Gorge. I contacted Scotty later and asked if he wanted to play drums on this new project. He agreed and we started planning for it. A few months later Scotty and Galina both flew to Wenatchee and we tracked 14 tracks for the album. Then they both left and the music sat in limbo for a few months. The next step is where shit got serious!! I asked Scotty to produce the album and he agreed from there things got serious. This is where my music went to whole new level. Scotty brought in a few more guys from Shooters band and his little brother. They created some seriously epic and amazing material. Once they completed that I flew down to Nashville and tracked the vocals. That brings us to now and where is the album well we are looking for the best way to deliver it to the world. As soon as we find  it will be sharing that info with everyone. This is a very diverse but cohesive album and spans a couple years of my writing. It has stories of lost love, new love, loneliness, happiness, angry and all the other emotions. we really believe that there is a little something for everyone on it. For the time being I have uploaded two tracks to my website for you to preview. Hope you enjoy!

Troy Lindsey releases Ride Across The Sun
(Troy Lindsey, Americana/Singer Songwriter)

"Troy Lindsey is the epitome of a rolling stone, or perhaps a wandering prophet...He has seen a lot of the world, and the bent shape it’s in, and his soulful response is what drives his music...Kristen's voice is much more than just an added feature--definitely leaves you wanting to hear more.” - The Jeonju Hub

Troy Lindsey embodies the spirit of a traveler. Troy has seen the world numerous times over and the current state of the world is the topic for much of his latest release – Ride Across The Sun.
Ride Across The Sun is the followup to Troy Lindseyʼs debut album – Out of Time For People Without Time – the majority of which was recorded in a hotel room in Jeonju, Korea. Troy’s most recent release, Ride Across The Sun, was recorded at Resonant Audio Studios and features the angelic vocals and ethereal harmonies of Troyʼs daughter Kristen McCamey. Kristenʼs star shines brightly throughout the album, particularly with her pristine and haunting backing vocals on the title track. Kristen's lead vocals make the duet “Tell It Like It Is” the highlight of the album.
Troyʼs musical influences include BOB DYLAN, TOM PETTY, THE ROLLING STONES, and TOM WAITS, and like each of the above, Troy is a skilled storyteller with his own distinctive style on songs such as “Lonely Town” and “Ninth Life.” Troy penned the album’s title track in a Santa Fe hotel room immediately after receiving word of his friendʼs untimely death. The raw emotion that Troy felt at the time resonates clearly throughout the lyrics and vocal performance of “Ride Across The Sun,” making it a very touching tribute and fitting title track.
From being taught how to play guitar by a Wyoming preacher and traveling the world over, to recording an album with his talented daughter and suffering a deep emotional loss, Troy Lindsey’s experiences are exquisitely captured on Ride Across The Sun, making it a must-hear album and a gratifying journey from beginning to end.

Troy has spent the last 12 year working for Erickson Air Crane (www.ericksonaircrane.com) working on Sikorsky skycranes around the world. The skycrane is used for  fire fighting, logging and construction.
